The original supply lines had been extended twice by previous owners and the pressure showed it — a shower that dropped to a trickle whenever the basin ran. Rather than chase the symptom, we re-ran the hot and cold feeds from the riser and set out the new fittings before any stone went back on the wall.
Setting out first is what keeps a job like this to nine days. Every penetration was measured against the tiler's layout, so nothing had to be cut twice and no joint ended up behind a slab where it could never be reached again.
